commonwealth games
Does anyone else wonder if any of the 'Australia should be a republic' side-of-the-fence people get excited about the Commonwealth Games? Just a thought.

In answer to you question, yes. Being a member of the Commonwealth has nothing to do with whether a country is a republic or not. A number of countries are members of the Commonwealth and are not constitutional monarchies - Canada, India, Malaysia are mere examples. I for one am looking forward to the Commonwealth Games, I'm even a volunteer for them. I am however a staunch republican
