Echelon Yeppoon

Well, in a shameless attempt to up the search rating of yet anothert website, here's some info on a new Unit development in Yeppoon. Logo, brochure, website etc done by your truely. No critisim thanks, I'm suffering a creative hole in the ground lately.

Info:

Echelon Yeppoon: http://www.echelonyeppoon.com.au

Echelon will be Yeppoon’s newest oceanfront development with just 42 luxury apartments, located on Yeppoon’s main beach. A boutique shopping arcade offering specialty retail shops and restaurants (including a proposed day spa) together with 35 deluxe two-bedroom apartments and 7 split-level penthouses all with a level of finish unrivalled in the region.

Ideally located half way between Palm Cove and Brisbane and on the doorstep of Australia’s biggest resource producing townships, Yeppoon is a holiday resort town, which has grown in popularity. Yeppoon is known for it’s beautiful sandy beaches, where the swimming is great all year round. Yeppoon’s pristine coastline remains untouched and the town’s views over the Keppel isles and Coral Sea are breathtaking 365 days of the year. The region is geographically stunning boasting a number of national parks, including the Capricorn Coast National Park and Ross Creek environmental reserve running through the middle of Yeppoon.

the end is in sight...

Classic article. 'The Man' in Switzerland and Italy have been checking narcotic use through sewerage systems and coming up with interesting stats. Bags not that job: Wired Magazine: Issue 15.06 - Drug War Gets Dirtier as What You Flush Becomes Evidence.

Another interesting note:

Wayne Carey - a footballer (read Aussie League, for anyone not in Australia) made most famous to the public through being busted having an affair, is back in the press for the same shite. Well almost. This time his wife has stated that she'll never take him back now that he's done it for a second time. Gold. Fuck off. You reward the fucker for cheating by getting back with him - and I bet without much crawling or work on his behalf - and wonder why he does it again?!? Gee, who saw that coming huh?!? I mean, props for taking the chance but make the fucker work for it and it may not have gone south again. At the very least open the ballpark up evenly and start up your own c-grade celebrity swingers evenings. Maybe Carey seeing his wife getting balled by one of his team mates might change his view? I think she'll be alright though. She's stunning, oblivious to her man getting some on the side and will no longer have the last name Carey. Sally Carey, she must hate that, it sounds like an extra from an Enid Blighton series.

Henry Rollins writes to Laura Bush

I'm loving this. It's an easy, low blow but that's where I'm coming from.

I finally spent some cash on Amazon. The last sentence could be used as stand-up material by anyone who spends more than 5 seconds near me as my Visa seems to have a perpetual collumn for "Payments to Amazon". Hey, fuck-it, if it'ss just numbers on the screen it doesn't exist for real surely. Maybe not. Anyways, this time I spent on Henry Rollins TV series - Season One. I'm loving it. Granted I'm a fan so it's not like he had to sell himself to me but still, it's good. I love the fact that he puts his opinions out there for all and sundry. He's a thinker but not one of the World's greatest yet, if the smartest people in the World don't get their opinions out into the ether then are they worth anything? Surely a half-thought idea thrown into the mix for discussion is better that the silent solution? Fuck knows. Maybe I just dig that he's as loud and irritating as me and I can only hope to keep angry and opinionated through 40 and above.

A favourite moment is where he has a jab at the Blackberry. He's not a huge fan of technology so he quite obviously doesn't get what they're for. I don't agree with him, he's not working a 9-5 job with those kinds of pressures (that's not to say he 'aint got his own pressures, they're just different). I don't have one but I get why some do. Still, you don't need to agree with someone to get the sentiment.
